RULES 7 ON 7 PASSING TOURNAMENT
b.Field Width-160 feet (60 feet to hashmark, 40 feet between)
c.End zone-10 yards deep
2.Starting the game
-coin flip to determine initial possession
3.Moving the ball
b.Field is marked at 15 yard intervals with cones
c.First downs are achieved only by crossing the marked 15 yd. line intervals
d.Possession always begins at the 45 yd. line
e.Offenses always move in the same direction
f.Draw plays (QB, running back) are legal and the only running plays allowed
b.Receiver/Ball carrier is legally downed when touched below the neck
c.Fumbles, including snaps are dead balls at the spot with the last team retaining possession
d.Each team will have 25 seconds to snap the ball once it has been marked ready for play: delay of game penalty will be loss of down plus 5 yds.
e.Quarterback is allowed 4.0 seconds to throw; if the 4.0 seconds are surpassed, the play is blown dead, ruled an incomplete pass, with the line of scrimmage remaining unchanged
f.The 4 second count is done aloud, by the referee (1001, 1002,1003,1004). It will begin on the snap of the ball.
g.Responsibility to avoid contact is with the defense. Deliberate bumping or grabbing will be "tack on" penalties at the end of the play (5 yds.)
h.Interceptions may be returned "no blocking" rule applies. If the interception is returned beyond the 45 yard line (the offensive origination point)it is a touchdown.
I.Offensive center is not an eligible receiver (teams must have a center)
j.Coaches are not allowed onto the playing field.
k.Good sportsmanship is expected at all times!
6 points for TD, 1 point for extra point from 3 yd. line. (interception on PAT's - dead ball)
